More reliable recording, easier Library organisation

Alitu version 3.120 (released Monday Oct 5, 2026) improves recording reliability, adds a saved A–Z Library view, and fixes timing problems in video exports and social-clip captions.

More dependable recordings

  • Better timing between speakers. Studio recordings use more accurate start times to align each participant’s audio, including guests who join after recording begins.
  • Safer Start and Stop controls. Repeated or delayed requests are better handled to prevent duplicate recording starts or a cancelled recording starting later. You can also stop a recording while it is still starting.
  • Better protection when saving. The final part of a recording is better protected during stopping and saving.
  • Clearer recording status. Hosts see “Participant confirmation pending” when Alitu hasn’t confirmed someone’s recording.
  • Safer microphone switching. If a replacement microphone cannot start, Alitu keeps the working microphone connected and explains what happened.
  • A new microphone warning. “No microphone signal” appears after eight seconds without an incoming signal. It asks you to check your microphone, but doesn’t block recording. Muting within Alitu suppresses the warning; some noise-filtering microphones may also trigger it while quiet.

Find Library files more easily

  • Choose “Sort: A–Z” or keep “Sort: Newest first.” Alitu remembers your choice across sessions and browsers. Bookmarked files remain at the top in A–Z mode.
  • Consistent ordering elsewhere. Your preference also applies when choosing a destination folder or adding Library audio to an episode. Adding a whole folder follows that order.

Better video exports and previews

  • Less audio/video drift after editing. Fixed a cause of picture and sound gradually slipping out of sync in exported episodes with many cuts, bleeps, muted sections or added silence.
  • Better artwork-to-video transitions. Long fades between images and camera footage preserve more camera footage and follow the intended preview timing.
  • Captions keep up with speech. Social-clip caption lines and Text-template pages switch when the next line’s first word begins, instead of lingering on the previous text.
  • More dependable previews. Artwork previews display with the correct layout and proportions. Video previews used when creating social clips pause while buffering rather than letting playback advance without the picture.
